To maintain good water hygiene and assist with ensuring ongoing compliance, the APC water hygiene monitoring team recommend that follow up audits are carried out either annually or six monthly, depending upon the extent of the water services.

Legionella Code of Practice (Acop L8)

APC’s independent Legionella audits can give you the peace of mind that your Legionella control systems and practices are compliant with current good practice procedures and the latest relevant legislation. An independent audit will examine your systems and processes before making detailed site-specific recommendations.

Water Hygiene Audit

The water hygiene audit will include an audit against the Legionella Risk Assessment to ensure the assessment is still valid and to audit the water services for cleanliness and correct operation.

The records of all monitoring and maintenance will also be audited, to ensure the management controls are in place and are being adhered to and will also clarify the roles, responsibilities and duties of managers, consultants and contractors involved in the management and hygiene processes.

Water Analysis - Water Testing

Water samples, in the form of TVC/Coliform/E.coli samples will be taken from the incoming mains supply and from each domestic cold water storage tank and Legionella samples will be taken from each domestic hot water system, to ensure the wholesome quality of the stored water.
